Overleaf - Collaborative LaTeX Editing
Overleaf is a collaborative, cloud-based LaTeX editor for writing, editing and publishing scientific documents. With the standard group license, up to 10 people can work on the same document at the same time. Important features are:
- Editing in both the Code Editor and the Visual Editor (rendered view)
- Integrations for tables, figures, equations, etc.
- Templates for various purposes, including journal-specific templates
- Easy sharing of projects
- Collaboration tools (comments, chat)
- Integration with bibliography and citation management systems
- Change tracking, project history and version control
- Integration with Git
- Reusable and sustainable nature of LaTeX documents.

Collaborators using the free subscription can also join and benefit from the premium features in shared documents. TAM has purchased a limited number of Standard Group licenses that can be dynamically assigned. Please contact the DataHub team via datahub@uni-marburg.de.
Sensitive Data
Please note that Overleaf is a cloud-based service that currently runs on servers outside the European Union.
We therefore strongly advise against including sensitive data when using Overleaf. In particular, personal data of participants and patients must not be included unless it is sufficiently anonymized.
